Envirenment friendly aluminum can
Swiss can maker Nussbaum Matzingen spent a year to successfully develop in 2020 it is said to be the world’s first aluminum aerosol can containing 100% post-consumer recycled aluminum without any primary aluminum component. Received the "Sustainability Award" in the 2020 German Packaging Awards and the "Annual Concept Award" certificate of ADF in 2021.According to an interview with Mr. Markus Tomasini, Chief Technology Officer of Nussbaum by "European Aerosol" magazine, the raw material of 100% PCR aerosol cans comes from the mono-material aluminum waste in the German yellow trash can waste disposal system. After being collected at the collection point, briquetting, and recycling, the original aluminum sheet is made, and finally the aerosol can is made into an aerosol can by Nussbaum using a conventional impact extrusion production process. In terms of quality, appearance, safety and processing suitability, 100% PCR aerosol cans can be comparable to standard aluminum aerosol cans made of primary aluminum.
